This team participates in a travel league (JGLA for girls) and plays both home and away games with other teams in these leagues and also participates in tournament play. The travel division offers a more skilled level of play against other competitive teams. The goals are to develop young lacrosse players and to teach them additional skills and game strategy as well as good sportsmanship. For 5th/6th graders, playing time is determined by commitment and attitude, and is at the discretion of the coaches. Coaches may break a larger roster into separate squads to facilitate playing time for all players. In addition, CLC may elect to hold tryouts, depending on the number of registered players, to create two separate (A and B) level teams.
Participants must supply themselves with the appropriate personal equipment—girls style stick, eye guard and a mouthguard. Players may need to purchase a uniform or reversible pinnie.
GIRLS UNIFORMS FOR 2021: Girls players in grades 5 through 8 will be required to purchase a uniform. This uniform (skirt and top) will require an additional cost, which will be aseparate purchase from the CLC registration process. Uniforms used last season can continue to be used in 2021 season.
