Therapeutic Lacrosse Camp
for special needs athletes with a desire to play lacrosse
The Therapy Garage and The Cranford Lacrosse Club are offering a new Therapeutic LAX program, designed for children with special needs and a desire to learn the skills and game of lacrosse. Girls and Boys 5 and older are invited to attend.
The Therapeutic Lacrosse Camp will:
• incorporate fun activities to help children improve balance, gross motor coordination, fine motor coordination, bi-lateral coordination & visual motor skills
• include instruction on basic rules of the game
• be designed and run by a pediatric occupational therapist with over 22 years of experience
An occupational therapist will participate in all activities and instructors will be present to provide additional assistance for players
• At least a 3:1 student to instructor ratio
• Instructors will have training and will have an interest in working with children with special needs and/or an understanding of the game of lacrosse
Sundays - 2:00 to 3:15 PM
Sherman Field in Cranford
5/1, 5/8, 5/15, 5/22, 6/5 - (No camp on 5/29 - Memorial Day Weekend)
$150 for Camp
All attendees will be given a "soft" lacrosse stick, "soft" lacrosse ball and a t-shirt and are encouraged to attend LAX day events on 6/5 as well.
